Featuring: Devin of Devin's Reads

Today please welcome Devin, who blogs at Devin's Reads.  Devin is a brand new book blogger, so let's give an extra dose of community cheers!

What's the meaning behind the name of your book blog?
Well, my name is Devin and I read. So, Devin Reads!

How long have you been blogging?
I actually just started blogging! I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now and finally decided it was time!

Tell us a bit about your book blog. What makes it unique?
I'm new to this whole book blogging thing, so I'm kind of learning as I go. I'm not into it to make money or any of that. I'm doing it because I love to read and want to share my thoughts on the books that I read!

What genres do you write about most, and why?
Most of my reviews are YA books. There's not really any particular reason why other than this is generally the main genre of books that I read!

What's your earliest memory of reading?
I remember in 3rd grade when we would have silent reading time for, I think, like 30 minutes a day. We had this "reading couch" that the student of the week and a friend would get to read on. I would try my hardest to suck up to the student of the week just so I could read on that couch!

What was the first book you read over and over, or the book you've reread the most?
The book that I have read the most is The Fault in Our Stars. I can never get tired of that book. Every time I read it, I cry. It is so beautifully written and is just such a wonderful story.

Writing in books: Yes or hell to the no?
I don't like writing in my books. However, it doesn't bother me when other people write in theirs. My sister writes in hers to help her better understand parts.

What's your favorite place to read?
I love reading in my bed. I mean, it's a bed.. With lots of pillows.

Do you have any reading accessories you can't do without?
No, not unless you count bookmarks?

Finish the sentence: My bookshelves are...
SO FULL!!!

My TBR pile is...
extremely large.

What's a book that's changed your life?
The Fault in Our Stars. That book is what started my passion for reading again. That book is what taught me that you can't take anything for granted. That book taught me to be grateful for the small things in life.

One book you like that no one else seems to, or vice versa?
I don't really know of any!

To DNF or not to DNF?
I am so okay with DNF a book. There is no need to sit there and struggle through a book you absolute hate or just can't get into!

What's one book that intimidates you?
Game of Thrones. I want to read it SO bad, but it's huge and scary!

How about non-book related hobbies? What do you do when you don't feel like reading?
I bake! It's actually a dream of mine to write a cookbook and open a bakery!

What's your favorite book to movie adaptation?
Well since TFIOS isn't out yet, I'm going to go with Divergent. I loved both the movie and the book. I thought the director and the writer did an amazing job with keeping the movie as close as possible to the book!

What are 3 of your must-read blogs?
Bookables

What is your reading personality? (via quiz at http://www.bookbrowse.com/quiz/)
All-Arounder!

Thank you for joining us today, Devin! It was so awesome getting to know you!
